How does a person describe a feeling so rare
There are no words to tell it truthfully
It is like the waves of a calm, peaceful sea
Its voice quiet and seductive
As it reaches for the golden shore.
It is like the flutter of a butterfly's wing
The smallest glance of such beauty
Draws a smile to even the most uncaring beast.
The mind grasps those feelings tightly
And constricts the flow of kind, caring words
That long to be whispered softly.
Cautiously it tries to shelter and spare it self
The pain and hurt that often haunts such bold emotions
Still the relentless voice begging and pleading to be free
Will this battle never cease?
Between the protective mind
And the reckless emotional heart
