THE BIRTH OF LOVE

WHEN Love was born of heavenly line,

What dire intrigues disturbed Cythera's joy!

Till Venus cried, "A mother's heart is mine;

None but myself shall nurse my boy,"

But, infant as he was, the child

In that divine embrace enchanted lay;

And, by the beauty of the vase beguiled,

Forgot the beverage--and pined away.

"And must my offspring languish in my sight?"

(Alive to all a mother's pain,

The Queen of Beauty thus her court addressed)

"No: Let the most discreet of all my train

Receive him to her breast:

Think all, he is the God of young delight."

Then TENDERNESS with CANDOUR joined,

And GAIETY the charming office sought;

Nor even DELICACY stayed behind:

But none of those fair Graces brought

Wherewith to nurse the child--and still he pined.

Some fond hearts to COMPLIANCE seemed inclined;

But she had surely spoiled the boy:

And sad experience forbade a thought

On the wild Goddess of VOLUPTUOUS JOY.

Long undecided lay th' important choice,

Till of the beauteous court, at length, a voice

Pronounced the name of HOPE:--The conscious child

Stretched forth his little arms, and smiled.

'Tis said ENJOYMENT (who averred

The charge belonged to her alone)

Jealous that HOPE had been preferred

Laid snares to make the babe her own.

Of INNOCENCE the garb she took,

The blushing mien and downcast look;

And came her services to proffer:

And HOPE (what has not Hope believed!)

By that seducing air deceived,

Accepted of the offer.

It happened that, to sleep inclined,

Deluded HOPE: for one short hour

To that false INNOCENCE'S power

Her little charge consigned.

The Goddess then her lap with sweetmeats filled

And gave, in handfuls gave, the treacherous store:

A wild delirium first the infant thrilled;

But soon upon her breast he sunk--to wake no more.

THE GRAVE AND THE ROSE

The Grave said to the Rose,

'What of the dews of dawn,

Love's flower, what end is theirs?'

'And what of spirits flown,

The souls whereon doth close

The tomb's mouth unawares?'

The Rose said to the Grave.

The Rose said, 'In the shade

From the dawn's tears is made

A perfume faint and strange,

Amber and honey sweet.'

'And all the spirits fleet

Do suffer a sky-change,

More strangely than the dew,

To God's own angels new,'

The Grave said to the Rose.

Zipper is Opened!!

Today I'm ill so couldn't go to my university. My friend went alone himself. When he came back he was only laughing and laughing! We all asked hey, what's the matter? But he was laughing only. It came out tears from his eyes for too much laughing. Then he shared with us why he was laughing like that!

At university when there were free time then he and his other friends(may be about 20) were sitting and gossiping together in the common room. There were all boys only. Suddenly my friend's girlfriend came from behind him and told loudly, 'darling, your zipper is opened'!! Hahaha... She didn't notice the other boys cause my friend were sitting near the door! For her kind information my friend got a BIG SHAME among all the friends! My friend became too much upset and he thought his pant's zipper is opened! Hahaha. . .

Then she told again, 'darling, your backpack's zipper is opened'!! Hahaha. . . He got another BIG BIG SHAME for the second time and this time all the student started laughing. . . Hehehe

nice

I was waiting. . . May be my waiting is going to finish :)

It's very natural that when we don't get any feedback of our work we become hopeless even about God's pray! But when we get feedback of our works then it speeds up our work more than ever first! It's also true for my blogs! I became sad about my blogs cause i had much visitors but no comments. I put a marquee line that saying 'Please leave your valuable comments and suggestions'. May be it was missed from my visitor's eyes :). So they came, saw, spent few moments here and went again :(. I was left just as a nothing but silent audience. There is a saying patience's fruits are sweet. I kept patience, now i'm getting sweet fruits! Sweet fruits are coming to me by one of my visitor's comments :) thanx to her. I got much inspiration from her comments. Keep fine always.

Don’t let the February pass too..

By Veronica Lukman

I wish if there were still tomorrow

With no sadness and sorrow

How I hopefully wait for that day

And that's the reason why I pray

            No more tears, no more cry

            Don't ask me the reason why

            No more fears, jump up high

            There's a long way before you die

I could smell what you'll tell

And never mind if you don't care

I could think what you'll sing

But I scared to have that nightmare

            If there's a chance, I will try

            No matter how if then I'll cry

            If there's a stream, I will scream

            Asking you to wake me from this dream

January passes through

But don't let the February too

'Cause I've got something to do

It's only to say "I LOVE YOU"
